deFacto supports Excel 2007+, for Office 365 deFacto Supports: Enterprise E3, E5 and ProPlus as those are all full installs. deFacto also recommends disabling Office 365 automatic updates.
Pre-requisites:
- Close Excel if it is opened.
- When installing Excel please make sure the following are selected to “Run all from my computer” :
Uninstall Previous version (if exists)
- Goto Control Panel
- Uninstall a Program
- Highlight “deFacto Excel Client with Ribbon)
- Click “Uninstall”
- Click “Yes”
Silent Uninstall Previous version (if exists)
- Launch Command window as Administrator
- Type the follow (remember replace the path to the MSI between the quotes) :
msiexec /uninstall "C:\Program Files\Performance Management Server\CLService\ClientFiles\ExcelClient64_withRibbon.msi" /quiet
Silent Install
- Launch Command window as Administrator
- Type the follow (remember replace the path to the MSI between the quotes) :
msiexec /i "C:\Program Files\Performance Management Server\CLService\ClientFiles\ExcelClient64_withRibbon.msi" /quiet
Regular Install
- Locate the installation directory on the deFacto application server typically: “C:\Program Files\Performance Management Server\CLService\ClientFiles”
- Within the folder copy the following to the local computer:
- ExcelClient32_withRibbon.msi or ExcelClient64_withRibbon.msi (depending on which version of Excel is installed 32/64bit)
- Run the MSI from step #2
- You will see this window, click “Next”:
- Select the path where you would like this to be installed and click “Next”:
- Click “Install” to start:
- You will see the following window:
- Once completed click “Finish”:
- Launch Excel you will see the “deFacto” ribbon:
- Click “Logon”
- Enter the deFacto URL and credentials then click "Ok":
- Select an application then click “Ok”:
- You are now ready to start using the deFacto Ribbon:
