deFacto Ribbon Install V4

deFacto supports Excel 2007+, for Office 365 deFacto Supports: Enterprise E3, E5 and ProPlus as those are all full installs. deFacto also recommends disabling Office 365 automatic updates.

Pre-requisites:

1. Close Excel if it is opened.
2. When installing Excel please make sure the following are selected to “Run all from my computer” :

Uninstall Previous version (if exists)

1. Goto Control Panel
2. Uninstall a Program

3. Highlight “deFacto Excel Client with Ribbon)
4. Click “Uninstall”
5. Click “Yes”

Silent Uninstall Previous version (if exists)

1. Launch Command window as Administrator
2. Type the follow (remember replace the path to the MSI between the quotes) :

msiexec /uninstall "C:\Program Files\Performance Management Server\CLService\ClientFiles\ExcelClient64_withRibbon.msi" /quiet

Silent Install

1. Launch Command window as Administrator
2. Type the follow (remember replace the path to the MSI between the quotes) :

msiexec /i "C:\Program Files\Performance Management Server\CLService\ClientFiles\ExcelClient64_withRibbon.msi" /quiet

Regular Install

1. Locate the installation directory on the deFacto application server typically: “C:\Program Files\Performance Management Server\CLService\ClientFiles”
2. Within the folder copy the following to the local computer:
   1. ExcelClient32_withRibbon.msi or ExcelClient64_withRibbon.msi (depending on which version of Excel is installed 32/64bit)
3. Run the MSI from step #2
4. You will see this window, click “Next”: 
   
5. Select the path where you would like this to be installed and click “Next”: 
6. Click “Install” to start:
   
7. You will see the following window:
   
8. Once completed click “Finish”:
   
9. Launch Excel you will see the “deFacto” ribbon:
   
10. Click “Logon”
11. Enter the deFacto URL and credentials then click "Ok":
    
12. Select an application then click “Ok”:
    
13. You are now ready to start using the deFacto Ribbon:
